Maggie Kinabrew is an emerging artist whose “glittering soprano” (San Francisco Classical Voice) brings “fervor and precision” (San Francisco Chronicle) to her performances. Maggie joins Virginia Opera as a Herndon Foundation Emerging Artist for the 2025-26 season, where she will perform Clorinda in Cinderella and the High Priestess in Aida, as well as taking part in the fall Variations Series, outreach programming, and concert appearances throughout the community. She joined the Glimmerglass Festival for their 50th anniversary season, where she covered Anne Trulove and performed in the ensembles of The Rake’s Progress and Tosca. Maggie’s musical interests range from the works of Mozart to contemporary premieres. Of particular interest to her is the art song of Finnish composers, and she highlights this rarely performed repertoire through her recital programming.
