Maggie Kinabrew is an emerging artist whose “glittering soprano” (San Francisco Classical Voice) brings “fervor and precision” (San Francisco Chronicle) to her performances. Maggie is thrilled to be joining the Glimmerglass Festival for their 50th anniversary season, where she will cover Anne Trulove and perform in the ensembles of The Rake’s Progress and Tosca. This season, Maggie made her company debut with Winter Opera St. Louis as Die Königin der Nacht in Die Zauberflöte. She also joined Palm Beach Opera for a second year as a Cornelia T. Bailey Apprentice Artist, where she covered Susanna and Barbarina and made her debut as Bridesmaid 1 in Le nozze di Figaro. Maggie’s musical interests range from the works of Mozart to contemporary premieres. Of particular interest to her is the art song of Finnish composers, and she highlights this rarely performed repertoire through her recital programming.
